However, HTC left millions of hearts broken when they announced the introduction of ads in Blinkfeed. A new Blinkfeed update that rolled out recently added the ability to show ads in between the feeds.
In the blog post HTC mentioned that the advertisements will be limited in number and will blend in between the feeds. For now, the advertisements will be shown in a few markets only and will expand to other markets in the future.Ads in BlinkFeed will be clearly marked with a Sponsored label or a Buy Now button and will look something like this.

- Swipe to the left from Home screen to access BlinkFeed.
- Tap on the hamburger menu present in the top left corner of the screen.
- Now a new side panel will launch. Press the three dots here to display the menu.
- Now Select Settings > Manage Ads.
- Select “Turn off internet-based ads” option.
